Longest Walk 2 @ Cahokia Mounds

Dennis Banks, cofounder of the American Indian Movement, and Kickapoo Chairman Steve Cadue joined forces on the steps of the Kansas Statehouse to draw attention to the destruction of Mother Earth, vanishing rivers and assaults on American Indian rights. The Longest Walk 2 Southern Route is organized and led by Banks, elders and original 1978 Walkers. Eighty to one hundred of these walkers will be traveling by foot across Missouri/Illinois this month on their way to Washington DC from San Francisco, California.
