On July 20, 2008, around 15-20 armed men shot and killed Alberto “Bito” Yusi, president of Samahan ng mga Anak ng Magsasaka ng Famosa, Incorporated (SAMFAI), an organization of landless peasants that petitioned for the distribution of the 490-hectare Ticao Agro-Industrial Development Incorporated (TAIDI) landholding situated at Barangay Famosa, Monreal, Masbate.

L'AIPRI was founded in 1993 by Jean PlGNERO and Maurice Eugène ANDRE. Jean PIGNERO (France) had founded l'APRI en 1964. This was the first association for the protection against ionizing radiation in Europe. He was the director of the review, PRI, « Protection contre les Rayonnements lonisants » (Protection from Ionizing Radiation) of the association and developed actions denouncing the dangers of the abuse of a system requiring obligatory x-rays.

The prison experts have reported that there are 100,000 innocent Americans currently being falsely imprisoned along with the 2,300,000 total US prison population nationwide.

Since our US Congress has never afforded poor prison inmates federal appeal legal counsel for their federal retrials,they have effectively closed the doors on these tens of thousands of innocent citizens ever being capable of possibly exonerating themselves to regain their freedom through being granted new retrials.

In a refreshing investigative series in the Boston Globe from 2006, journalist Charlie Savage dropped a bombshell on the Bush administration . Reporting on Bush’s use of signing statements, Savage highlighted the president’s long-standing contempt for legislative authority. HOUSTON, May 27 -- Military and police forces from across the U.S. are conducting SWAT-style terror drills in BP's Texas City refinery, the nation's deadliest and dirtiest industrial site. The facility has exploded with alarming frequency in recent years, including a Mar. 23, 2005 explosion that killed 15 workers.
