Before 'my attorney' Joshua A Ridless,(who lied to indymedia volunteers who he was harrassing to remove my posts about not being able to contact me while he told me he was blocking my emails to him), begins a new assault on free speech on the internet in general and the indymedias - in particular over this writing - and maybe even throws the 'anti semitic' slur against me again for good measure, he should first go to Yahoo!'s Image Entertainment Inc., or 'DISK' message board where his and Steve Honig's, et.al.'s 'press release' is being called a 'pump and dump' press release first.And no I didn't post anything on Yahoo! about his Image Entertainment being a 'pump and dump',as he knows because Yahoo! stole my email and prevents me or blocks me from warning about scams like his.Glad to see someone is warning on Yahoo! though because those promoting frauds are generally given the greatest voice there.

The global crisis is a crisis of capitalism
It is time for the workers and the poor in the Philippines to prepare for the worse the moment its government keeps on repeating the mantra that the economic fundamentals remain good and thus there is little to worry about effects of the global recessionary trend. The world found itself in the present mess precisely because of such blind faith in neoliberal fundamentalism.
The shallow basis for such declarations from the government is supposedly the fact that most of Philippine exports are being sent to China rather than the US. But China is just a transit point or a gigantic department in the assembly line that spans the globe. Thus exports to China will simply be assembled there and then ultimately sent to the US, Japan or Europe as finished products. Such is the international division of labor under the era of globalization.
Obama Is No Country Song
The opinion community has embraced Obama in a brotherly hug, a lover’s arms, a worshipers supplication, an enemy’s arm’s length grip and in a madman’s clutching. The millions of words swirling in a maelstrom, running hot and cold, all true and all false: Obama, champion of the common man. Obama, the elite’s new face. Obama, the hoped for. Obama, the unknown.

Note that we have not tried to be comprehensive in addressing the issues that will need to be addressed in the months ahead. Rather, we have attempted to put together a framework for understanding our current situation and used a few examples to illustrate our situation.
