Dear Friends of the Community:

The "African-American Heritage Festival Committee" (AAHFC) proudly presents the Third Annual "African American Heritage Festival" at the beautiful and refurbished Fairground Park. The city's Northside has always been and will always be the cultural base for the Black community. With many former Northside residents spread over the metropolitan area, we invite you all to this festivity because you are still members of this proud community.

Starting at 5pm: MAYDAY Vegetarian Potluck w/ music by The Tillers (Cinn, OH) & St. Louis' hybrid of Bad Folk, Theodore & The Rats & People.
Location: Black Bear Bakery, 2639 Cherokee St.

Then at 8:30pm: Mayday Marches on to C.A.M.P. for films on the Wobblies @ 8:30ish. $5 goes to musicians. Bakery will provide bread, hummus, coffee, tea & cookies. Please bring a salad, entre, or side dish to share.

held to provide a forum in which to
inspire and encourage the youth of East St. Louis to envision new life
possibilities and gain a desire to achieve their

Last fall, a diverse group of high school students representing
countries such as Vietnam, Liberia, Cuba, and Afghanistan chose to
delve into issues of prejudice, racism and oppression, topics which
are very pertinent in their lives and in the city of St. Louis as a
whole, particularly in its public schools. The result of this
exploration is an original show that will be performed :

You are cordially invited to the CAMP CAFE. The CAFE is the
"Capitalist Art and Food Experience." No friends ... we're not really
interested in supporting capitalist exploitation, but our first winter
open has brought on sizable heating bills, along with very large,
unexpected building expenses running into the $thousands.

New Music Circle CAMA artist, Dr. Mabuse (aka Mike Murphy). Join him

Mary Mack of the Just Seeds art collective will present poster art made by members of the collective. Artnoose will be performing aloud selections from long-running Ker-bloom! letterpress zine.
